Introduction

Abbreviation of Dimension, time and cost, the DTC operator is a tool developed by Atschuller to increase our creative faculties by lifting the psychological inertia by exaggerating these three dimensions of the tiny to the gigantic.

The method

At first, we create 6 imaginary conditions of our subject by asking the following 6 questions:

  1. What would happen if the system was tiny?
  2. What would happen if the system was gigantic?
  3. What would happen if the system operated in an extremely short time?
  4. What would happen if the system operated in an infinite time?
  5. What would happen if the system had a zero value?
  6. What would happen if the system had a very high cost?

Then, in every imaginary condition, we identify a solution to solve our problem.

Once our problem is solved in the imaginary context, the solution is converted into real conditions.
