The TWTTP tool is a tool to quickly target a problem due to human error.
In the problem solving methodology offered by WCM, the TWTTP tool is a tool to quickly target a problem due to human error.
The tool TWTTP, The Way To Teach People,
will identify the skill level of a person to perform a task. It is most commonly used in conjunction with the tool Herca analysis of the causes of human errors.
The TWTTP assessment is based on 4 questions :
|Does the employee know how to do the work ?||
b. Not entirely
|How does he know that the job is done correctly ?||
a.Follows instructions (OPL, SOP…)
|How does he know that the work done is correct ?||
a. The supervisor or a qualicien validates the work
|What does he do if there is a problem ?||
a. Contact the supervisor or an immediate qualicien to identify a countermeasure
b. He simply warns his superior
If only one answer got b or c, then we are in the case of a human error of skills and knowledge. We will then use the tool Herca
to identify the root cause and implement the solutions to return to a situation where the assessment is to a.
If all the answers are at a , then we will use the tool Herca to identify the root cause in the methods or behavior groups.
